Ybpopular

Before things got bad I couldn't take a pill I would scream and cry and spit it out. Now, green scored tablets, and tiny blue ovals, little white circles, and striped plastic capsules lined up in bottles a sad reminder of my failures. The nurse used to chop them in fourths with a pill cutter, and tell me, it was easier that way I could pop them in half with my thumb instead, but why bother. Now, I'm an expert.

I've had to let go one too many times So I'm holding on tightly Though I know I've outgrown When we'd show ourselves off To the bright outside world And I'd yell to the stars "How we've grown, we've unfurled!" One day I know that I'll Have to let go, Say it's time I move on, And we'll go separate ways. Til then, I'll hold tightly.
